we went up to midway on sunday for jord and LESA's birthday ... yup, they have the SAME birthday. mother and son. what a great birthday gift for Lesa, eh? my husband.
how grateful i am to her for bringing him into this world for her and i to LOVE.
i am thankful to her for raising such a great guy and 3 other awesome children.
i am glad she is a "clean freak" like me so we understand each other when everyone else in the fam makes fun of us.
i am thankful to her for being such a fun and loving grandma (zee zee).

so i attempted to make this strawberry pie for jord. it is his favorite dessert. it is one of Lesa's specialties. brave me, i know. i did pretty good until i put the danish dessert and strawberries in the fridge in the pan to "cool". duh. it looked really pretty in the pan when i took it out of the fridge to top the pie, but unfortunately it looked UGLY when it SHOULD have looked pretty.
oh well. it still tasted the same ... mmm mmm good! next time it will be better.
