ESPANA

whew ... we have made it home! 3 days and running. ever since we got home on friday morning at 1 AM, my life has consisted of holding easton, unpacking, doing about 7 loads of laundry, cuddling east, going to the doctor, and .... holding easton!
easton has had an ear infection, stuffy nose, fever of 101.9 and a cough since the moment he woke up on friday morning around 5! hence i have not blogged yet ... until now:) he is doing better but still has his fussy moments. it's hard for me to deal with this ... this isn't my 'normal' east! i think too that because he is my first child AND i CAN'T handle knowing he is in PAIN, makes it that much harder. i am just thankful it came after all of the traveling! he was such a champ on all 4 flights and SO good then entire time we vacationed!
we are over the tip of the hurdle though (hopefully) and happy that he is atleast back to crawling all over the house.

now, on to SPAIN!
this trip was over the TOP ... SO SO SO much FUN! it is funny how you realize how much FUN you really have on a trip after you get home. as opposed to realizing it while you are actually on the trip. we aren't too excited to be home but happy for easton's sake.
i am going to do a few different posts from our days in malaga for your sake and mine! i have way too many pictures for just one post. here we go ....

DAY 1/DAY 2 - FRIDAY and SATURDAY
traveled ALL day and night. 4 hours to new york. 4 hour layover ... all nighter 6 hour flight to malaga, spain.

so during our 4 hour layover in new york, we left the airport to go to dinner. when we walked outside, this HUGE charter bus was out there waiting for us. the entire bus was OURS! it was sa-weet! if you look closely, you can see our cool bus driver too! let's just say ... dad has his hook-ups. if you know my dad, you know what i am talking about.

east and g-pa on the bus

the group on the bus ... just to show you we had it all to ourselves. SO fun!

east with g-ma and g-pa. they were way too nice to sit in coach with us:) the rest of the fam was up in first class!

another one ... i had to post this one becuase my mom's eyes are actually OPEN! but i loved easton's face in the above picture, so i posted both! the picture above with my mom's eyes CLOSED is just the beginning. almost every picture i got of her, her eyes are closed. wait and see!

my little brother, trevor WAITING for our bags to come into baggage claim in spain

malaga airport!

east in his FORWARD facing carseat. we rented a 9 passenger van (picture to come) and this carseat for e. he loved it and we loved not worrying about taking his from home.

after landing in malaga around 9 AM saturday morning and going through customs, collecting all of our luggage, renting our van and then squeezing ALL of our luggage and ALL of our bodies into the van, we were finally on our way! we drove about 40 minutes from the airport to our villa on the coast. we dropped our bags off and left for a little shopping mall to get something to eat. after eating at a gross mexican resturaunt, we shopped around the mall a little bit trying to find a STROLLER. yup, i LEFT our stroller in the JFK airport in new york! yes, DUMB me. we didn't find one in any of the stores so we headed to the supermarket. we needed to buy some food anyway for the villa. we found a stroller there ... the cheapest and ugliest one! you will see lots of it in many of the pictures i will be posting:)
when we got back to the villa, half of us napped and half of us got in the pool. we just lounged from our long travels and then played phase 10 ALL night!

at the mexican resturaunt. best highchair we've had at any resturaunt! too bad the food wasn't the best.

hangin' in the pool
