makeover

the reason for my lack of blogging over the past little bit is this ...

we painted the spare/easton's bathroom, our bathroom and one wall in our bedroom. the list doesn't seem like much ... but the work to prepare the walls WAS! we had this old, old, OLD wallpaper on the wall in our bedroom and on two of the walls in our bathroom. it took FOREVER to take all of that down and clean and wipe down the walls over and OVER again to get off all of the glue and tiny wallpaper peices. if you ever have to do that in your house, we suggest you just hire someone!

we also decided we wanted to do a bunch of touch up on the walls in our entry way, spare bedroom, and living room. we still had a little bit of each of the colors for this but not enough to do all of it, so easton and i made a few trips to home depot to try to get them to match each color. after 3 trips, they STILL could NOT match the colors exactly and it definitely shows on our walls! we are thinking about hiring someone to just REPAINT our whole house! it's been a little crazy around here but we are glad these projects are somewhat done. it feels good and refreshing!

at least easton was having some FUN during all of this. he LOVED this racecar cart. whoever made these is genius! they need these carts in ALL stores!

these pictures are not the best ... our bathrooms are so small it is impossible to get a picture of them in their entirity. the bathrooms still need rugs and other accessories to make their facelift complete, but they are liveable!

i wish i would have taken before pictures to show how big of a difference it makes!
