georgia on my mind

after a week of unpacking 4 suitcases, taking down and putting away christmas, doing 6+ loads of laundry,
deep cleaning my house, and hanging out with some family and friends in between ...
i am FINALLY getting around to posting our holiday's!

we went to georgia where we found ourselves embracing the 60 degree winter weather and not wanting to leave!
even after being there for a little over 2 weeks! well, jord was only able to enjoy it for 1 week.
we decided that we are over having a "white Christmas" ... who needs snow anyway!?
i was getting used to NO snow and ice on the ground ...
we flew into atlanta on the 18th of december. jord flew home on the 27th.

here is a little of what we did our FIRST week in GA.
(brace yourselves for LOTS of pictures!)

{Christmas Day}

#1 gifts:
jd - nice watch
me - nikon d5000
e - forward facing carseat

scoping out stocking stuffers

my little brother's BIG gift that we were ALL excited to see. this has been a family car, then my little sister's car and now my little bro's.  it has always been a gold/tan color. so the actual gift ... old car painted black and good as new!

trev and cody

i know this might be a little much for y'all ... but we love these two love birds!

sweet sweet face that my new camera can capture!

oh yeah ... and this too!

this is my most favorite christmas decoration of my mom's.  my great grandma katie made this for my mom. she made one for all of her grandkids. it is made out of jewelry of hers, my grandmas, and some of my mom's that she wore as a little girl. my mom has since added a few things of mine and my sister's from when we were little girls. it has such significant meaning. it is so classy and vintage! i can't wait to have one of my own someday!

it is even prettier lit up ... at night!

my brother and his wife were supposed to be with us ... but at last minute my brother had to stay for work. stinkin' corporate world ... i guess we are just grateful he even has a good JOB! that was the only thought that kept us somewhat happy when thinking about missing them! ... and we MISSED them!
my mom couldn't stand the thought of them not having their gifts to open on Christmas day (and sitting under the tree for us to stare at), so we got them all stuffed in a bag and my dad ran to the airport to put them on a plane to frisco .... long story short ... they recieved the bags at exactly midnight, Christmas night! another perk to dad and josh working for an airline! we missed you josh and ad!

{Cavalia - a Cirque du Soleil show with HORSES}

the clan

we had the horse lover's pass so we got to visit all the horses from the show afterwards.  we were told we could take pictures but with NO flash.  this is about the only good shot a got. the rest are way blurry. check out that braid!

eating at La Hacienda on our way home! mmmm!

{jord's last day ... attended church again}

this is another one my favorite christmas decor spots of my mom's ...
a merry christmas y'all and 2 cute wreaths with santa's hanging from french doors!

e and unc t

jord left this little note for us in our shower with easton's alphabet bath letters. mom had these when trever was a baby so a lot of letters are missing ... look how creative jord got!

on top of all of this, we did tons of shopping, little working out, watched movies, ate chic-fil-a 3 times (yup in 1 week .... mmmm!), ate lots of other good food made by my momma, played games, and enjoyed a variety of yummy holiday treats!

there is nothing better than being with family .... especially during holiday's.
we are so grateful for our families and feel blessed to have them as ours.
we are grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ and the peace it brings to our lives.
we are most grateful for our Savior. His life, His love, and sacrifice for us.
and what a better time of year than this to remind us of all of our blessings!
we hope you all had a merry christmas!

... stay tuned for week 2!
