valentine's

for those of you who KNOW me or remember my valentine's post two years ago
... you know i think this is kind of a lame holiday. 

(especially for single people)

... that is why we have anniversaries and birthdays!

i think i will enjoy this holiday more as my children get older and we engage in fun activities to do with love
and make heart shaped sugar cookies and other yummy treats.

 anyway,

jord and i decided NOT to buy each other anything.
although, he did buy me flowers of course!

we just wanted to be together. me, him, and our little man most of the weekend.

because actual v-day was on a sunday this year ...

i woke up to the most delicious stuffed french toast with homemade syrup (oh yeah ... j did this too!)

we attended church ...

had a great "LOVE" meal in midway with jord's family. including my personal fave, coconut shrimp!

attended a delightful dessert party with some friends in the ward ... mmm!

and then ... we went home and were greeted by my FAMILY! 

what a beautiful valentine's!
