we had a pretty eventful easter weekend this year.
we were able to see what it is like to do a holiday with both families on the same holiday.
in the SAME town. (my family flew in from GA and stayed in their midway home.)
we decided we don't know how most of you utah folk do it.
although it was fun to spend time with both,
it is much more relaxing when you only have to worry about one family.
if you know what i mean.
if you know what i mean.
we also had some friends from vegas come stay with us for 5 days!
here is a little bit of what our agenda consisted of over the weekend:
FRIDAY: jordan's mission reunion.
this was a pretty special reunion. jord's mission president and wife are from Mexico. because
they don't have much money or live closer to utah they have never had a mission reunion. jord
has been home from his mish for 5 years! all of the missionaries donated money and raised
about $5,000.00 to fly their mission president and his wife to utah for all of conference/easter
weekend. it brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it! we had the reunion friday night and a
special fireside on sunday night.
us with presidente and hermana vazquez
most of the missionaries
jeff, shawna, and mandy (the Pitt's) with the pres and his wife
(these are our friends who stayed with us all weekend. he and jord served together.)
my sister-in-law came to utah from frisco because all of her utah friends wanted to throw her a
shower. the timing worked out perfectly so we could all fly to new york together 5 days later. it was
a super cute shower and we can't wait for "bebe keiren" to come!
saturday evening we took our friends to midway to jord's parents home. we had dinner and then the
boys attended priesthood while us girls died easter eggs and had an easter egg hunt with the kids.

east getting ready for his 1st easter egg hunt!
yummy ... fruit snacks!
SUNDAY: Easter easter morning we made blueberry pancakes and eggs ... mmm! then the kids endulged in their
easter baskets. east was more excited about it than i thought. we watched the first session of
conference at our house and then went up to midway to eat lunch with jord's family. we watched
half of the second session with them and then headed to my parents midway home to watch the
second half. my family tended easton while we went to president vazquez's fireside and then we
went back to hang out and spend the next couple of days with them ...
easton with his 1st easter basket!
filled with his favorite granola bars, animal crackers, fruit snacks and yogos.
camo eggs, an etch-a-sketch, a new camel back, and ball shorts and t-shirt.
yummy ... MORE fruit snacks!
the little outfit i got easton that jord loved.
mandy with all of her bracelets and goodies
the day the Pitt's left, mandy kept putting a golf ball down her shirt and saying it was her belly button. it was so funny and cute!
