a trip to "the GA"

easton and i and my grandma flew to georgia last week.
my cousin, who lives with my family, graduated from high school.
that is the main reason we went although we were there for 8 whole days!
if my mom didn't have to go to girl's camp, we probably would have stayed even longer!
we got our first real taste of summer after leaving the spring SNOW in utah.
thank heavens we came home to some good weather ... finally! but i already miss that humid air!
we had lots of fun. whether we were out and about or just relaxing.
easton became really good buds with "baba" ... a.k.a. grandpa.
after this trip, he can say grandpa, ball, ribbet, juice ... that we can understand.
he can "roar" like a lion and he finally loves to eat bananas!
i think we need to go to georgia more often.

of course i didn't take pictures of everything we did.
most of the time i wanted my camera in hand it was not close to me.
i got lots of easton which is what everyone prefers anyway ...

we went to a DIANA exhibit in atlanta that was so interesting
but we weren't allowed to take ANY pictures.
we went to the lenox mall, shopped cute little stores in senoia,
watched a few movies, lots of tv, laid out, went to a party for seniors at the church,
ate lots of good meals and relaxed around home.
these i didn't get any pictures of either.
here is what i did capture ...

lunch at redneck gourmet after shopping

he wasn't so sure about standing in the water at first ...

but after telling him 100 times that the pool is like a giant bathtub, he loved it!
maybe a little too much at times.

with grandpa

eating his first peach milkshake from chic-fil-a .... mmmmm!

party at the church. i really don't like this picture of me but it's the only one we got
and it's with my freaking cute little brother so ... i wanted to!

unfortunately, this is the only picture we got of cody in his cap and gown.
after a 4 hour graduation and growling stomachs, we all rushed to the car as fast as possible to go eat dinner.

trev and east watching graduation

cellphones entertained easton the entire graduation.
grandpas, trevor's, andrew's, mine and a couple of girls' sitting by trev.

the gang.
eating at a yummy japenese resturaunt where easton was mesmerized by the cook in front of us.
i am so mad i didn't get any pictures of him watching ... staring ... and following the chef's hands.

playing in the pool

playing around the yard (and drinking apple juice) while grandpa cleaned out the hot tub.

watching uncle trevor and his buddies play ball. oh, and he loves the trampoline too!

watching the hot tub fill up with "baba"

he discovered marshmallows too!
sunday night after a huge storm we decided to make s'mores.
the rain was still trickling and the frogs were out like crazy!
if you don't know what i am talking about ... you need to experience the sound
of millions of frogs croaking during rainfall in georgia. specifically in my parents backyard.
it is quite the sound!
and this is when easton learned to say RIBBET or "ri ri."

embracing his first s'more!

trevor giving me his typical camera face

just a couple of toads and their baby my dad caught swimming in their pool. gross.
but yes, we made him let them go back in the pool.  ... they will be gone by morning!

my handsome boy!

i know this picture isn't very clear at all due to the dark,
but this is easton and "baba" taking one last dip in the pool after roasting marshmallows.

a huge thanks to my awesome FAMILY for everything.
and thanks to my grandma for being mine and easton's traveling buddy!
WE LOVE Y'ALL!
