basketballin'

tonight jord walked in the door with this basketball hoop in hand to surprise east.

unfortunately east was asleep and we didn't really want to wake him.

so as soon as it was set up, jord and i played a little game of one on one and then jord had a dunking contest with himself.
he just might be a little more excited about this than east.

easton woke up pretty onery so we went to the store to lighten his mood.

when we got home he was in love ...

we have been wanting to buy this for him for a long time ...

when luke was born, for his birthday, for christmas, for valentine's ... and we just haven't,

until NOW! and i don't think it could have been a better day than today.

after being sick with a cold and a little flu bug for a week (and he still has a cough and runny nose),

and after playing with a friend's bball hoop for a few hours yesterday and watching a

'jake and the neverland pirates' episode about basketball and a 'bubble guppies' episode on basketball and every other sport 3 times today!

he has definitely been in the basketball mood.

i failed to take any pictures of him playing tonight due to some favorite friends stopping by 

and then putting him to bed, but i have a feeling we'll get lots and lots of pictures of this hoop and that boy!

can't wait for morning! ... goodnight!
