survived.

this last day of a six day husbandless week was a little exciting.
other than the fact that jordan is going to be home tomorrow morning (hooray!),
we received two packages at our home today.
or should i say, easton received two packages and luke one.
but no matter who the package is addressed to, it is still fun to get them delivered to your door.
and it is usually just as equally (or more) exciting to help your child open a "gift" as if it was your own.

east got an early birthday present from grandpa and grandma in georgia.
the most darling jeans and (4) shirts and a couple of construction truck plates and some candy.
he was so excited! we made lunch right away so he and luke could eat on their new "china."
as soon as the boys sat down to eat we got a knock at the door.
another package. this one from grandpa and zee zee. (a.k.a. SANTA) what lucky boys!
we opened it to see ... the elf on the shelf. i have been wanting this. i am so excited!
east was in awe when i told him we have a new friend ... one of santa's elves.
now we just need to think of a clever name for him!

i also did some last touches on my christmas decor and finished all six loads of laundry
(btw - this included lots of bedding because we have all been sick with bad colds).
oh, and i re-fluffed my three trees at the top of my stairs. (last picture below)
because the boys completely pulled them down and they slid halfway down the stairs.
i laughed instead of getting mad. i am really surprised this hasn't happened before now.

as much as i have enjoyed not having to make a big 'ol meal every night for dinner,
i can't wait for my man to be home. and the boys can't wait to have their daddy back.
happy weekend to you all!

Your boys look so big sitting at the table! Ty leaves for his first time on business where I am not going with him. Next week I will be a single mom for almost 3 days. I am worried. I may need a phone call of encouragement from you to let me know I am going to make it through! Glad Jord got home safe!
