best valentine's yet.

(jordan's v-day gifts 1 and 2. don't judge #2. and lady antebellum.)

so if you remember any past valentine's posts of mine, you know i haven't always been a huge fan of this holiday.
like kelly ripa, i kind of feel like it is more of a holiday for people who are dating to "celebrate."
but ...
just like every other holiday ... it is much more fun when you have kiddos.
and for me, it is just another excuse to buy them (and jord, of course) stuff. it's great!

a few weeks ago while jordan and i were out running errands we heard on the radio that lady antebellum would be in SLC valentine's night.
we both got super excited and thought of this lovely idea to call my dad and see if he could some how hook us up.
he can to do that from time to time.

a few days later he text me and said our tickets were on the way!
to make a long story short ... i wanted to surprise jord but had to tell him!
after a few days of thinking of who we would ask to babysit the boys and jordan calling his sister to see if she could,
i told j that i told my dad to just give the tickets away to someone else because we couldn't find a sitter.
he was so mad at me! for a few days.
but his sister said she (maybe) could babysit so we still planned to go to dinner and (maybe) a movie.
come valentine's day, jordan was supposed to work in salt lake all day so i was going to meet him up there somewhere.
at the end of the (work) day he called me and said he was in orem and wanted to run home and shower before going.
i was in the car with the boys ready to go meet him, so i decided to go fill the jeep up with gas while waiting for him.
i had his gift in the car, so everything was fine.
when i got home to pick him up, i ran in the house so we could exchange gifts.
(i couldn't wait any longer ...)
he didn't look too surprised when he saw the tickets ...
i left the note that my dad sent with the tickets on our dresser. grrr!
he was supposed to be in salt lake ...
he made me feel better after telling me that "i should've seen his face when he read the note."
ha! nice try babe. but we were both still sooo excited!
and lady a .... nor darius rucker nor thompson square didn't disappoint.
the concert was SO so good.

during this concert:
my love for lady a grew even more.
my hatred of PDA got worse. i didn't think that could happen but it did.
dave haywood helped me convince jordan that east can still be cool and play the piano.

one of my favorite moments didn't even include any of the performers we went to see ...
while waiting for lady antebellum's stage to be set up, a lot of good, upbeat songs were played.
from my favorite - LMFAO's party rock anthem to my favorite whitney houston song i wanna dance with somebody.
when that song was played the crowd went crazy.
i got chills all over my body and (seriously) a little teary eyed.

a huge thanks to my daddy-o for the amazing third row tickets.
and to nicole for watching our two crazy boys! thanks so much nic! you are the best!
