ONE REPUBLIC!!!

Wednesday night I went to the One Republic concert with my friends, Trisha and Ciara. Can I just say ... I LOVE One Republic! I heard about the concert a week ago and kept telling Jord that we needed to buy tickets! He kind of just kept ignoring me and then he found out he had a meeting to go to anyways that night, so he couldn't go. I kept thinking ... 'who can I go with!?!' At the very last minute it only made sense to go with the girls whose husbands were at the meeting too! Thanks to Trisha she got our tickets like an hour and a half before the concert started. ... 2 hours after we thought One Republic was going to perform ... they finally did! They had 3 different bands open for them and it took FoReVeR! (this may have seemed like an understatement at the time we were waiting). But by the time One Republic began singing, it was all worth it! I am so happy that the girls wanted to come with me! We had a ton of fun! Thanks Ciara and Trisha!

This is a little video of One Republic singing one of my most favorites! They told the story behind the song at the concert that only made the song better and more one of my favorites because it has meaning behind it. Ryan Tedder, the lead singer grew up in Oklahoma. A good friend he grew up with is a helicopter pilot in the Army. He has been dating the same girl for 4 years. He called Ryan a while ago to tell him his term was just about up in Iraq and he was ready to get married. He came home for a couple of weeks.  During those weeks, he had just enough time to buy a ring and propose. Soon after the couple got engaged, he got called back out to Iraq. The song was written in perspective of the fiance left at home ...
