today i ran 3.13 miles in 40 minutes with about a 2 minute walk in between for a drink of water (dang, i am slow!). i walked about a mile before running and another mile after. during the after, "Gift" by O.A.R. came on my ipod. perfect song to listen to for cool down. i know the song has to do with death (suicide ... maybe?) but it got me thinking ...
"each day is a gift"
these words reminded me of one of my favorite sayings, carpe diem! i think i need to say it more to myself daily. i am SO lucky to be ME and i am grateful for each day i have to live. i am grateful for all of my blessings ... gifts from my Heavenly Father. i have so much GOOD in my life. i need to focus more on the postive and not be so pessimestic about a lot of things.
"... and nothing has to change. you and i can be strange ... each day is a gift"
this is something jordan reminds me of almost weekly ... that we are who we are and we don't need to worry about what others think about us. i care TOO much. i need to be a litte more carefree.
my mind was filled with SO many blessings that i have ... small and GREAT. i don't even want to start listing because i won't be able to stop typing ... so i will spare you ALL of that reading.
but i will share one of mine and jordan's greatest blessings!

I think that's a key to a good life, learning that. Unfortunately, it seems like a hard thing to internalize sometimes.
