GOOD NEWS!

the oquirrh mountain temple dedication was SO good today! i wish i could tell some of the things that were said that really touched me and elaborate more on my thoughts about it but my dear husband reminded me NOT to blog about it ... i guess this will have to go in my personal journal! what a great experience!
i thank my little sis for coming to hang with east so that jord and i could attend together.
i was a little worried easton would get fussy for her due to his morning nap interfering with the possiblity that we may still have been gone. lately easton has been such a little pill when it comes to napping or going to bed for the night. no matter how tired he is ... he FIGHTS it! it has been SO frustrating to say the least! what can i do to help him WANT to go to sleep the instant he feels tired instead of getting to the point where he is OVER tired? moms, any suggestions!?
anyway ... jord and i walked in the front door to find this ...

... what did i have to be worried about!?

and now i am getting to the REAL good news!
the other night while we were out on a family walk, we were pleasantly inturrupted with the announcement that these two love birds ...

... are PREGO!

i couldn't stop smiling the rest of the evening and was on such a "high" that i even had to go run 2 miles! thanks you two for making my night!
and yes josh, east is STOKED to have his FIRST cousin on the KENNEDY side!
... and so are WE!

Ok, the nap thing...does E take 2 naps? If so read on..if not I just wrote a novel of no importance to you..sorry!
About a month ago Eric started fighting his naps too. He usually took a morning nap and a afternoon nap but it got to the point where I was rocking him and bouncing him for at least 30 minutes before he would doze off..ugh, so frustrating! Then his naps started getting weird. He'd nap for an hour in the morning and then only 30 minutes in the afternoon and after 30 minutes of rocking him, I needed more than a 30 minute break! haha..anyway, I just decided that maybe Eric was out growing his morning nap and that I should try to keep him up until noon and then put him down. Well, I did it and he went down so easy and he slept for 2 1/2 hours! So, bottom line...maybe Easton just needs one nap?

Congrats on becoming an aunt on the Kennedy side! That is very exciting!

The nap thing, all babies go through phases. I think that East might be going through one... I think he is too little to just hit the one nap thing. Aliya is just getting there. So hang in there. It really does get easier. Remember to keep the sleep routine the same... books, songs whatever and make it in the same place the same time. It will help eventually.

Babies go through weird phases and do weird things and us as moms just have to GUESS all the time on what to do!

That is a bunch of good news! I've actually never been to a temple dedication, though I would like to one day. I'm glad that you enjoyed it.
As for fighting naps, I have a prize fighter on my hands! Especially when I'm not home. Some days she'll refuse to sleep AT ALL during the day, and ends up being so ornery by dinnertime she drives us all crazy. Bedtime is getting better, but it is still such a process!
So I'm afraid I'm not much help on the nap front. Good luck with that!
Oh, and that's so exciting about the baby news! I love hearing when people are expecting; it's such a happy thing.
