batter UP!

last saturday we had a little party for easton to celebrate his birthday.
the theme ... baseball, of course!
how could we resist with easton's name being a popular
brand for baseball essentials!
sports can make party's SO much fun! i can't wait to throw them
when east is 5, 10, 16 ...
i had a blast looking for things for THIS party, but there is only so much you can do for a 1 year old, ya know?
OH the things i can do when he is older!

the party turned out to be fun. at least i had fun!
we hope everyone else did too. easton was actually quite mellow.
i don't think he knew what to do with so many people in our little house.
i don't know what we would have done if everyone came that was invited.
thanks to those that DID come!
we appreciate your love and friendships!

the invitations

baseball cupcakes with picture display and birthday sign i bought at swiss days!

easton and his cute cousin koryn. it is pretty much impossible to get both of them to look at me.

easton and mcrae

karen pinning her baseball to the bat
i think this game may have been the "hit" of the party!

koryn pinning her baseball ...
as you can see, the LOUISVILLE SLUGGER was the "sweet spot"
koryn and jaclyn were the winners!

because east didn't play the game, he found his entertainment else where

my sis and her boy

ME and KORYN opening easton's presents ... he was NOT that into it if you can't tell

checking out one of his toys from zee zee

after gifts, we stripped east down so he could attack his easton baseball bat cake
{a HUGE thanks to bryan @ day's market for creating this piece of work!}

the ONLY damage done to the cake

we forgot to sing happy birthday to east before he dug into his cake ... DUH! so this is me holding him after he was rinsed off and dressed again while we all sang to him.

rubi and legui ... the only people that will smile at the camera for me

here is half of the gang hanging out as the party was dying down

oh yeah, these two will pose for the camera too!

the basket of party favors after most everyone left

and yes, these are the ONLY pics i got of the whole day!
again, i am SLACKING in the picture department.
i really hope to be better while we are in georgia over the holiday's.

what i DIDN'T get a picture of at the party:

the yummy food ... mini corndogs. chips. fruit. veggies and dip. chips and dip.
each of our friends and their babies
jord's fam
the baseball and red and white balloons tied to our light post in front of our house
easton, jordan, and i together
the baseball jumpropes and baseball tic tac toe games and treats that were the prizes for the game winners
east touching his cake carefully (i did get video though that i will post later)
