since i've been home ...

my life has been so busy since i have been home from my trip to new york.
here is what we have been up to the past couple of weeks.
these are the reasons (excuses) that have kept me from blogging!

- baseball season is here ... wahoo! we have been to 2 baseball games.
- threw a baby shower for a friend
- had a yardsale with our friends that moved
- said goodbye to those friends that moved
- had a "girls night" with friends in the ward
- celebrated jordan's and his mom's birthday
- dr. appointment
- playing with easton outside, enjoying the nice spring weather!
- going on walks
- cleaning house and doing laundry
- babysitting other kiddos
- preparing sunbeam lessons
- went to ST. GEORGE (this last weekend ... from wednesday to sunday!)

@ the uvu vs. utah game

cheering on the Bees with a fruit snack in his mouth

 mindy's baby shower

jord and his mom share the same birthday. april 19th.
sunday we went to midway for dinner and dessert and presents.
lesa wasn't feeling very good ... she is going to kill me for posting this picture.
i tried not to get her in the pic! sorry les. but it shows that her dessert was a bowl of rice krispy's (poor thing)
and jord with his homemade ice cream.
he really didn't want his picture take either ... can you tell?

monday was jord's actual birthday. he had a busy day with work and school but luckily he was able to get away
from his evening class a little early so we could to Market Street for our favorite halibut. yum!
it was a fun evening with just the 3 of us! happy birthday jord! (and lesa!)

lately when i try to take any pictures of easton he automatically turns his head or runs to play with a toy ... he hates when i have the camera in hand. if he doesn't do either of these, then he cries or fake cries. but he is still so cute when he cries so i snap away anyway!
here is a little series of pics of him telling me he DOESN'T want his picture taken ...
here he is with his little puckered lips and little whine.

then the mouth opens wider and the cry gets louder ...

and finally the eyes close ... waiting for me to stop saying his name
and the flash to stop shining in his face

east LOVES the outside. actually, this is an understatement.
he throws the biggest fits whenever any door to outside opens and closes and he can't go out.
as soon as he steps out into the sunshine, he glows! he laughs and screams.
our backyard is the perfect little play place for him lately.
we just leave our back door open and he roams freely ...

he is barking at some dogs that live behind us ...

there's a smile!

east has always liked to play in the dishwasher (and fridge). whenever i don't let him play in either of these,
he throws fits just like when the doors to outside open and close.
so most of the time we just let him!

one of his favorite things lately is to eat pebbled (or crushed) ice. he will open the dishwasher to find his little colorful cups
and bring them to me so i can fill them up for him.
then he makes his way to a comfortable sitting place ... his blue chair, the ottoman, the couch, his john deere tractor,
and sometimes even the floor and munches away!

this past weekend east and i went to st. george with jord's family. jord was in LAKE POWELL ...
working, mind you. so don't feel so bad for the rest of us:)
i took NO pictures except this one. this is corbin (a.k.a. BEANO) our cousin.
he and east are great buddies. this was when we were saying goodbye, hence beano's sad face.
thanks Byron and Lesa for everything! it was fun little getaway!

I would say you are busy busy! I texted you a few days ago and got nothing, and I have been thinking of you non stop lately and am scared to call or text thinking I'll get no response back! I am glad you are having so much fun though! New York looked like a blast! Easton looks so big sitting on that chair!

Okay, I had to laugh at the pictures of Easton pretending to cry. What a stud. I still think he's about the cutest little boy I've EVER seen.
