escape

east and i disappeared to georgia again.
AJ (a.k.a. Aunt Jac/my sis) came with us for the first 5 days.
my parents had left to london to attend a few wimbledon matches ... yup, wimbledon!
we were a little jealous until they came home with some goodies for us.
we were really at home to keep an eye on the boys and make sure they didn't get too out of control
while the "parentals" were out having fun themselves!
after dad and mom arrived home, east finally got to spend some quality time with g-pa and g-ma!
he was a little confused at why we were in their home and they were nowhere around.
he would continually walk up to one of our family pictures my mom has in the living room
and point to my dad and say "grapa!"
after a few times he would point to everyone and say their names in jibberish.
except "dada" and "momma" of course.
he has been saying "gama" lately too after trying to get him to say it that whole trip.

jord flew into town friday, july 2nd to spend the 4th of july weekend with us.

we attended lots of uncle trevor's baseball games. he had a tourney both weekends were there ... score!
took easton to his first braves game and finally bought him a fitted hat that we have wanted to for so long now.
we swam ... lots. easton now says "go go pooool" ALL the time and "go go bye!" and "pane" (airplane)
and i can't even count how many times he says his most favorite word BALL in one day.
we did a little shopping, ate at chic-fil-a and MOE'S more than once, relaxed ... tons, watched movies, had a not so successful photo shoot with easton (pics to come soon), enjoyed the luscious greenery that surrounded us everywhere we went, and mostly just spending time with the fam!
oh how great it is or was to be home.

the day we left, on our drive to the airport, my dad asked me if i took enough pictures.
NO, of course not! you can never take too many.
but this trip i really didn't take a ton. or i should say a ton of what i REALLY wanted ... as usual.
i want more of easton with grandpa and grandma.
more with uncle trevor.
more of easton doing funny little things around my parents house.
more of everything we did!
i guess i am glad i have the ones i do ...

i had to post just this one of mom and dad at wimbledon.
... with some friends sitting behind the wimbledon press conference podium.
i stole lots more pics from their camera but will spare you the awesome shots they got of nadal, roddick, the william sisters, and more.
if they were actually mine, then it would be a different story!

east waiting for our plane to get cleaned so we could climb aboard ... destination: atlanta!

swimming with uncle trevor

sa-weet airplane float that we found in SPAIN last summer

stinkin' cute boys!

playing around the pool
most of the time we went swimming ... east didn't swim a whole lot. he would rather run around the yard instead. {typical little BOY}
or climb these stairs over and over

or play ball with the pool bball hoop (that we would move AWAY from the pool)

OR throw all of the toys into the pool!

and sometimes he would take a short little dip into the "cool" hot tub with g-ma's help
this was one evening he decided to get in the pool with ALL of his clothes on, so we just stripped him to his diaper and let him be.

sunday evening sitting 'round the pool

eating a delicious european cookie with some juice after swimming

uncle trevor's baseball games

props to jord for capturing this awesome photo of trev swinging with the fence to add some character ...
he was pretty proud!

east and g-pa watching the game

perfect shot of east watching uncle trevor up to bat!

braves game
(vs. the Florida Marlins)

photo shoot of our little fam in our braves hats.
east won't wear his hat for more than 2 seconds ... so why do we even try?
don't have a clue ... but i am working on getting him to love wearing it because he looks SO cute!
take one ...
take two ... (look at g-ma and g-pa!)
and take three!

fireworks
oh wait. what fireworks???
the saturday before the 4th we attended one of trev's games, then went to the braves game, then came home and the boys swam for a little bit. we wanted to go to the peachtree city fireworks that night ... or should i say I wanted to go ... so after talking the boys into getting dressed again and ready, we all piled in the car and headed to meet some friends to watch the firework show. BUT we kind of missed them. east was already asleep by the time we pulled out of the driveway!  the fireworks started going off as we were driving to park but it was so packed there was NO parking and police were already directing traffic on the streets so we just decided to pull off to the side of the road and watch a few burst into the sky and then head home to miss all the traffic! ... awesome. good thing east is so young and us adults don't REALLY care, but when my kids are older and understand better ... we WILL be the first ones sitting on our blankets excitedly waiting to watch the firework show!

the actual 4th of july
too bad it fell on a sunday this year. we talked about doing a few fun things but ended up just relaxing instead. we went to church, had a delicious meal, talked to some family via skype and watched a movie!
easton found a new LOVE for strawberries ... kudos to grandma!
(he has eaten them every day since we have been home)

"fit throwing"
easton has already hit the terrible two's at 19 months.  some days are worse than others.
the last day we were in GA, we swam for as long as we could before getting ready to leave.
this is east just stepping inside NOT wanting to leave the "poooo! pooooool! go go pooool!"
he is still cute when he throws a fit (most of the time) ... but especially in his cute 4th of july,
baseball swimsuit (thanks g-ma!) so i decided to capture the moment.
now you can picture this  ...  his typical, every day fit throwing... when i say he threw a fit!
... and the whining begins

then he throws himself to the floor!
