did you know that yesterday marked the 100th anniversary of Father's Day?
i know ... pretty exciting fact.
i first heard it on regis and kelly earlier this week and then a second time in one of the sacrament talks at church yesterday.
i am grateful for the father's in my life.
for their strength, hard work, determination, love for their wives and families,
positive attitudes, and good examples.

positive attitudes, and good examples.
where would we be without these men? i know i couldn't live without them.
another talk yesterday in church was given by a young dad ... jordan's age.
he told stories of growing up with 4 older brothers and parents who were converts to the church.
he was the youngest and last to serve a mission in his family.
they were all asked the same 2 questions in an interview given by their stake president before serving.
because of his 4 older siblings, he knew what the questions were ... and the answers.
he was told if he answered something different, he wouldn't want to know what would happen!
quesiton 1: who is your hero?
answer: my dad
question 2: who is your best friend?
answer: my mom
this choked me up a little. i loved it!
i think a lot of us can truly say that our dad's are our hero's.
(and that our mom's are our best friend(s))
we had a fun day yesterday.
called dad and josh in frisco. it was josh's b-day AND he's a brand new daddy ... bonus!
(we are jealous mom and dad got to hold baby kieren this weekend!)
we attended church. it was easton's 1st week in nursery! ... more to come on this.
we spent the afternoon and evening in midway with jord's fam.
had a delicious meal (as always!), cookies and homemade ice cream.
played a game or two ... or at least tried! you guys know what i am talking about:)
and i got pictures of almost everyone. it was my goal for the day ...
happy father's day (yesterday) to the best dad's ... in my life!
i love you all!
i have been telling jord for over a week now that we need to take more pics of us ... our family.
so after church we set the timer and snapped a few photos before changing our clothes.
this is the best result.
my beautiful in-laws. byron and lesa.
danny and rachel labrum
good friends ... basically family to the day's!
i missed getting a pic of their 2 girls, savannah and kenedie ... next time!

we can call this my "23 week" picture too.
nic and dev
they really didn't want their picture taken but i made them.
and i think you can tell by dev's face ... he did just wake up too!

YOur belly is so little! I love the pictures. Father's are amazing. I didn't realize it was the 100th Father's day! Not that it changes anything, but it's a cool fact!
I need to take more family pictures too. Thank goodness for timers!
I think I heard that fact from...someone in Jeff's family. And I, too, know what you mean about family pictures. We don't really have any. The most I can rope Jeff into is grabbing Mandy and squashing the three of us together as I hold the camera out. :) Maybe I should try the timer.
You are looking amazing! And happy. Hope everything is going well
