Christmas (part 2)

we spent Christmas in midway with jord's whole family.

i like to call it our little "midway vacation."

we have been up there since the night before Christmas Eve. just got home late monday night.

the night before Christmas Eve jordan picked up his brother and his family at the airport,

who flew in earlier than the rest of the family thought from Cleveland to surprise them!

they flew in so late that we stayed with them at my parent's home in midway and woke up at 6 

Christmas Eve morning to go to (my) in-laws house to wake them up.

talk about the best Christmas gift ever!

jord's dad was actually out in the driveway ready to leave for the store (work) when we pulled up

so he helped get us all in the front room of the house where our oldest nephew played the piano

to wake everyone else up ... 

i think i was a little too excited about it all that i forgot to have my camera on hand!

later that evening Grandpa Day and his wife Gloria came over
and so did some really good family friends, the Labrums.
we ate the most delicious (my favorite dish at market street grill), but homemade clam chowder.

read Luke 2 and had a "live nativity."

opened our traditional Christmas Eve pajama's gift.

and stayed up late (just like every night after this too) playing games and enjoying each other's company.

savannah was mary, jaxson was joseph, ali was a wise man, kennedie an angel, rachel a cow, zeez a donkey,
and east a shepherd - missing his sheep and headpiece!

i think i will do this for jord with ALL of his utah shirts one day.

oh how i love Christmas!
for the family time, being able to reflect on the birth of Christ (& Joseph Smith),
for the relaxing, the food and treats, for the giving and the receiving!
thank you B and zeez for EVERYTHING! we love you!
(side note: yes, this is what we call jord's parents ... they are a family of nicknames! so Byron is known as BD, B, B-man, bumpa, bumpa B-man and Lesa is known as Les, zeezee, zeez, and Leeed (a way of say LD). jord has lots of nicknames too that i know i have mentioned a few times but maybe we'll save that for another post some other time!)
