(easton and shelby. december 2010)
jordan's family(s) dog of almost 18 years was 'put to rest' this week.
the cute pup was just short of 18 years old (human years) ... so really she was about 126 years old.
for those of you that know me well, you know i am not a dog lover but,
i loved shelbs. i think mostly because easton loved her.
whenever he goes off on his little tangents (almost everyday) of saying everybody's name in the family,
he always includes shelby (the doggie) and all 3 of the horses.
shelby lived a great life ... in a great family! believe me, i know!
it is going to be a really sad day the next time we head to midway to see that shelby isn't around.
how do i explain this to my little e man?
for those that wonder if animals go to heaven ... i think so!
we'll see you on the other side shelbs. we will miss you!
we were able to watch shelby for a weekend back in march.
i am so glad we did so east could spend that time with her.
i wish i would have got more pictures of the kids with her.
but i am glad i got this one ...

sooo sad, but that is great to have those fun pictures with Easton. Love all of your post! You guys all look great! Hope we get to see you all someday!
I was sad to read this. that dog was like a family member to them.
aw sad. people really do get so attached to their doggies, especially after 18 years!
it sounds like easton needs a K9 friend.
we're doing swim lessons at the scera pool. i'd never been there before, but its a pretty cool pool. it has a huge shallow area for the kiddos. we should go one day! (when it gets a little warmer, its still to cold for me!)
