hawaii. day four.

ah. finally!
so i took a longer break than i wanted to from these pictures, obvs.
i have been slacking ... big time!

but here we go ... again!
day 4 may have been just as ridiculous - or more - than day 3 with the pictures.
we had a pretty packed day. mostly on the north shore (again).
here is what went down:

hiked diamond head (a volcanic crater) first thing in the morning while mom watched the baby boys.
because she has done it a time or two. thanks momma!

drove to one of the best beaches we visited on the north shore,
where east got a little bit more brave with the sand, kieren still played in the sand like it was candy,
the guys played a little beach football, where jord and east spotted a baby sea turtle,
luke began to clap his hands, where we all got a little more sun, relaxed,
did some more boogie/body boarding, and i spotted my dream beach house!

after a few hours at the beach we headed to a little shopping village in haleiwa.
and ate lunch at a yummy mexican joint.
checked out a few shops.
then drove down the road to slurp on the best shaved ice.
where i discovered my new favorite flavor - blue hawaii. mmm. why don't they have that here?

on our drive home, we passed the pineapple fields and could not NOT stop at the Dole Plantation.
mom discovered her new favorite snack - pineapple chips.
and the guys picked up another cold treat. pineapple ice cream.

then to the house.
here is our nightly routine as soon as we returned home from our long days in the sun ...
bath/showers.
dinner (maybe?). if someone wanted to go pick something up. this particular night it happened.
chill out in the cold living room. watch a little tv or a movie while the boys played.
and then bed.

only 2 1/2 more days to go. stay tuned!
