christmas with the days

sunday, december 11, 2011 we celebrated christmas with the day family.
it was a busy, spiritual, and fun filled evening.
it was lovely celebrating(early) together before we all parted for the actual holiday's.
we were able to fit all of the christmas eve/christmas traditions into about five hours!

clam chowder for dinner
go around the table, telling the person next to you how they light up your life
nativity - grandpa reads the story
opened gifts
kiddos put on matching jammies
zee zee reads the story of Davey (tradition carried on from grandma lela (day))

thanks bd and zeez for everything that night!

(i took a few more pictures than what is posted here but they all turned our blurry because a setting on the camera got messed up.
i am so bummed ... but here are the ones worth sharing.)

 beautifully set table

the nativity ... bukie was on my lap dressed as the donkey. east is covering him up ...

but here he is! i know it's not the most flattering picture of me but bukie was a cute, sick donkey even though he was ready to get that costume off by the end of the story!

east refusing to look at the camera and say cheese ... surprise
luke had the flu and had thrown up seven times that day (before this picture was taken). then ... notice his change of clothes in the picture below. poor baby ... he was such a trooper that night.

 opening their BIG gifts

where do i even start?! Love all the posts and pictures! I can't believe Easton is 3. I love his face in those pictures with the train, he is such a little cutie. It looks like he knows how to celebrate birthdays! Love the Christmas posts too, can't wait to see the rest of your Christmas!
