hospital - day 1

all pics from my iphone and (most of them) sent to family, updating them almost every hour. 

some hours ... it was 30 minutes at a time.

insane day.

sweet little toes. crazy how they can monitor oxygen levels from feet. 

SO exhausted after 4 hours of being in the ER and after screaming for 2 straight hours
because of suctioning, chest x-rays, nose swab, having oxygen put on nose, and hunger. 

what just happened? 

 oh there's a smile!

finally admitted to a room and dressed in a cute tiger gown 

so so tired after getting settled into the room 

yay! daddy is finally here! 

 had to get one of my cute husband looking and smiling! baby was to into his toy.

guess what we did all night ... while holding our sick babe at the same time?

oh and these few things too:

- ate delicious los hermanos chimichanga's that hit the spot after eating only a few pretzel's at 11 AM in the ER because i was so hungary i thought i was going to pass out (but had no appetite really.)

- visited with our faithful friend clay who came to assist jord in giving luke a blessing. thank you clay!

- visited with brother deven who was sweet to drive straight to the hospital from st. george after driving home for the weekend.

- finally had a breakdown at 8 PM after a LONG day while jord kept telling me "everything is going to be okay" a million times.

- caught a glimpse (a small glimpse) of how life would be with a child who has cancer (that was my first thought) ... or any indefinite illness. i don't know how they do it.

- missed and talked about our little guy who was up at g-pa and zeezee's for the night. a huge THANKS to them for coming to our rescue ...

and a big big THANKS to melanie for tending east until jord's parents came to pick him up.

and thanks to all of our family and friends for sending their love through phone calls and texts.
you gave me the strength i needed to get through the day!
