hawaii. day six.

this was our last full day on the island.
and our last time to swim in the ocean. (tear)

we filled the day with the few things left on our "to do" list.

the guys started their day off right doing a little bit of this ...

while they golfed, us girls took our time driving back up the north shore,
where we stopped at this place ... again!

and then stopped at a beach we thought looked real cozy ... and it was!

east decided that he was completely done with the sand this day.
guess he didn't care that it was our last day.
this is a classic picture from his time in hawaii ...
grandma (or one of us five others) trying to get him to just stand on the sand,
but instead he would cling to your legs and arms.

so we put him on his chair and he fell right to sleep with the two other baby boys.
... nothing better than a nap on the beach!

after the boys were done golfing we met them at our favorite lunch joint.
kahuku grill.

and it was hot! this squirt bottle was baby luke's saving grace.

after chowing down our delicious coconut - macadamia nut shrimp we headed to waimea falls.

"hiking" up to the waterfall ...

the water was freezing but refreshing!

can you spot us?

after dad tried scaling the waterfall and getting in trouble (big time) by the lifeguards, and embarrassing all of us (ha!) we jetted out of there and went across the street to spend the rest of our day at waimea bay.
(we never have a family vacation without a story like this one ... and it is usually my dad. we will continue to laugh about it for years. and we will never let it go ... thanks dad!)

i thought i wanted to jump off the rock with trev but i chickened out!
yep ... i climbed all of the way up there just to climb back down.
and yes, that little 7 year old boy jumped off.
i admit ... i am a wuss. the older i get the worse it becomes! what's with that?

east so content.

the guys' last dip in the ocean.

Well, I think I'm going to add "Hawaii Vacation to my list of things to do before I die! How gorgeous!
That's too funny about Easton not liking the sand; what kid doesn't like to play in sand?! :)
Your swimsuits are adorable, and while you may not have grown as tan as your brother you certainly DO have a tan!
It looks like you all had a blast. What a fantastic family vacation!
